[issue] Crockery Install Issue
I did a search, but did not find anything on this. My apologies if I missed something, or if I am posting in the wrong place.
A while back Crockery stopped installing for me. – I figured it must something temporary, and didn’t have time to toubleshoot. I tried a couple of other times, still had the issue, and no time to troubleshoot.
I tried again today. It still isn’t installing. So I’m finally going to take some time and see what’s up :)
Context: fresh install of Textpattern using crockery.
First page (domain.com) – wrong/missing config file. Go to set up. Expected
Second page – (step 1) pick language. Check
Third page – (step 2) fill in info on database and site path. Check
___
Fourth page (step 3) shows:
Checking database connection…
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: db_connect() in [/sitepath/name/textpattern/setup/setup.php on line 146
___
(Have checked multiple times – Database is created, information entered correctly).
I pulled crockery and replaced it with 4.0
Same install steps. Same database info. Fourth page provided the config. file info as expected.
Pulled 4.0 and went back to crockery. Back to error message on step 3.
So it seems to be related to crockery.
I Am on a shared Dreamhost server in case that might have something to do with it.

Crockery breaks sometimes. The installer is broken at the moment. I think it works prior to about r2216.
