there is a neat plugin from Rob Sable that might be able to treat the symptoms, if not the cause. Check out rss_admin_db_manager.
Once you install and activte it you get options to repair broken tables — that might save you some effort over the re-install.
This won’t address the root cause but might ease the pain.

The FAQ explains the “result set” error and database corruption.
