Import from Movable type cuts off text after intl chars
If you have a movable type posting with a danish char the posting is imported with text up untill the danish char. So if you posting has this text:
“bla bla bla æ bla bla”
the imported posting becomes:
“bla bla bla “
using textpattern movable type import version 4.0.4
the problem is seen both in the title and the body
To reproduce:
save the following into a textfile called import.txt and try to import a movable type file

Excellent, thanks for the helpful bug report.
Do you happen to know what character set MT uses when exporting international characters? The export spec doesn’t say.

The example posted above works fine for me.
Could it be that the file you’re importing is encoded differently? Anything you post on the forum here will be converted to utf8.

Are you sure that it imported correct? Is the title of the imported entry “test of æ test” or just “test of “
I can zip up the entry and send it to you. Would that help?

Tried the new import_mt.php file and I got:
Notice: Array to string conversion in blabla/textpattern/include/import/import_mt.php on line 185
