Re: [wiki] TextBook down? DNS expired?

On the other hand, net-carver’s new MLP gives one reason to raise an eyebrow now with respect to the language thing, and there’s never been enough authoring contribution in the wiki for the “bulk” concept to be worth a damn, so…who knows.

Hypothetically speaking, a Textpattern install with instant language translation on the fly from the English version does sound appealing. Drupal has it’s book module that has proven to be very handy and adept for their own docs.

I’ve travelled with docs from HTML to a CMS and then to a Wiki, they each have their good and bad. So far, a wiki seems to be the logical place for them, when it comes to multi-user changes where you have a revision trail to follow.

Textpattern is already in a great position, due to it’s RPC server, to further integrate the docs into the backend. I believe this would help users get up to speed a lot quicker, hypothetically speaking ;)

I had an idea about one possible approach, but I’m guessing the lack of response was a kind way of letting me know I didn’t know what I was talking about, which is likely the case.

More of a “I haven’t had enough time to fully digest it “ situation :)

The wiki path is actually in a bunch of places (like the interwiki links) I need to figure out something to eliminate them. Setting up the test wiki has been a good excercise in seeing what can just be relocated and what can’t.
