MS give away: Prepacked virtual machine with IE6 and active XP
Microsoft offers something useful for cross browser testing on Windows machines:
we’ve taken advantage of that by releasing a VPC virtual machine image containing a pre-activated Windows XP SP2, IE6 and the IE7 Readiness Toolkit.

Most importantly, you don’t even have to buy an additional Windows license.
I love it when Microsoft acts like they’re doing you a favour, by allowing you take a round-about route to correct something they buggered-up. Hey, we’re not even going to make you shell out more than you already have! Woo! ;D

What I want to know is how is this supposed to be more convenient than multiple IE’s ? It’s working great for me, and it’s free, and I don’t have to deal with running god knows what in a virtual machine from M$. They seem to be over complicating things to say the least.
