Making lists of articles selected by ID range

Hi,

I would like to publish pages where I have some intro copy and then list links to other articles (as one has in an archive) specifying a range of IDs. For example, from 9 to 23 (which I would define in 2 custom fields)

I have a feeling this requires PHP rather than Txt tags.

Thank you in advance.

Re: Making lists of articles selected by ID range

Does it need to be a range of ids?

Re: Making lists of articles selected by ID range

Now that I think of it a date range would work too. Is that easier?

You might want to check out chh_article_custom, it supports listings by spans of time.

Re: Making lists of articles selected by ID range

thanks, chh_article_custom wont work for me as intervals are all relative to the current server time, which means that a page I publish today will hold different info in the future.

I can achieve what I need by using Category, but I wanted to avoid creating a very long list.

Cheers,

Loz

Have you considered using keywords or custom fields?

Re: Making lists of articles selected by ID range

i’d rather not waste a custom field for this… i’ll think about using the keyword field – great idea, thanks!
