Import from Livejournal

Is it possible to import entries and comments from Livejournal into Textpattern? I have been manually adding some of my entries from my old journal into my Textpattern site, but wondered if there was an easier way that would allow me to select which entries to import.

Does LJ allow you to export your data in any way as xml or otherwise?

I’m asking because TXP can natively import from Blogger, WP, MT and b2. If LJ allows you to export in a format that’s digestible to one of those systems, then you can:

Export LJ data > Import into X (Wordpress, for example) > Export from X > Import into TXP

Anyway it’s in the FAQs.
