Printable Pocket Reference for Textpattern
A handy pocket reference for some of the most often used Textpattern page tags.
(Download removed, file pretty outdated.)
Reference Legend:
- When a tag attribute has a list of arbitrary choices, they appear within [square brackets].
- Some attributes have a long list of possible values, like the “sort” attribute. I haven’t included a list of these, as they would take up a significant portion of the reference.
- Default values are enclosed within (parenthesis)
- Variable default values (such as your Sitename, which is different for everybody) are in italics.
For viewing and printing: the text will look very small and a little strange in Acrobat when viewing at 100% zoom. This is necessary to fit the reference into a booklet this small; this PDF isn’t intended for any use other than printing. Make sure you don’t have any Print Scaling enabled, and set the page Orientation to Landscape.
Assembly: if you never made these as a kid, a recent popularizer of this technique, PocketMod, has instructions on how to cut and fold the page.

Nice idea – and because you left enough margin at the top it prints on A4 too at 100%! You just need to cut off the ends.
Only one gripe: the text is very tiny indeed – so tiny that my inkjet printer barely manages to make some characters whole at standard resolution. A wee bit larger would be great. I think you have enough space.

Re: Printable Pocket Reference for Textpattern
Very handy. I have printed it out landscape A-4 but can not read it either.
The font-size is too small.

Re: Printable Pocket Reference for Textpattern
I increased the font another size, making it a wee bit larger. I tried going up higher, and the tag attributes start to break up over pages, which I was trying to avoid. :/ Of course the next thing is making a bigger one, that’s not meant to fit in your pocket. :)

Re: Printable Pocket Reference for Textpattern
I fiddled around this afternoon and managed to up the font-sizes a bit by using two columns on each page. Apart from the layout this version should be identical to Mary’s sheet.
Bob
PS if the paper size seems a bit odd it’s because it’s sized to fit on both A4 and US letter size paper (but only tested on A4).

@greyfodder, looking great.
One for the car and one for the wallet.
(On Safari, still not able to print this landscape using Schuberts PDF Plugin)
But even though redability is excellent.
thanks again.
