Cannot Display Comments
I’m fairly new to txp but I’m building a wedding site for a friend of mine and am building the guestbook feature with the standard comments but I can not get it to display. I have comments turned on but it still says commenting is closed for this article. I have them on by default but not automatically appended to each article. My article form is as follows:
<h1><txp:title /></h1>
<txp:body />
<h3 id=“comment”><txp:comments_invite textonly=“1” showalways=“1” showcount=“0” /></h3>
<txp:comments />
<txp:if_comments_preview>
<div id=“cpreview”>
<txp:comments_preview />
</div>
</txp:if_comments_preview>
<txp:if_comments_allowed>
<txp:comments_form />
<txp:else />
<p><txp:text item=“comments_closed” /></p>
</txp:if_comments_allowed>
I haven’t changed the comments forms yet so if anyone would like to save me a lot of frustration please do!

Re: Cannot Display Comments
Check: do you have comments set to auto-expire? and, is the date for that article already past that expiration window?

Re: Cannot Display Comments
And you’re sure that comments are on for this article, not just on by default?

Re: Cannot Display Comments
They are on by default. It does the same thing however if it is set to on by default or not. This article uses a form called guestbook where i included the code from comments_display. I took the comments_invite out of the default article form though.

Re: Cannot Display Comments
No, I mean for the article itself. There is on by default in the admin prefs, which yours is, but there is a comments on/off switch for each individual article in the write tab. Is that turned on?
