comment spam

I get a lot of comment spam lately. can anyone suggest a way of avoiding it? ie is there a plugin which can detect certain keywords and prevent the spammers from posting their messages. Other ways are acceptable too. I do use the Ban feature but they come from different ips and they use a different email each time.
