Terrible Inconsistencies with Textile
I been having serious problems with clients writing articles. The following glitches make no sense to me and I hope someone here can shed some light on the situation
1. Does not recognize line breaks consistently. Sometimes it will start a new paragraph if you press Enter twice..other times you have to press it 4 times in order for p tags to show. Yet other times it will randomly throw in br tags…very weird
2. Strong tags not always recognized. There are random instances where you can still see the * characters wrapping the words.
3. List tags not always recognized. Again you can see the * symbol before each item (with and without space)
I am starting question whether Textile is really production-ready, though I hope the problem is my own configuration (or lack thereof)
For the record I do have Textile enabled for both article and excerpt

Re: Terrible Inconsistencies with Textile
Please test on http://textile.thresholdstate.com/. Use the bug reporting interface there if you can reproduce problems.
You’ll need to provide specific examples, there’s not nearly enough information here.
textile.thresholdstate.com is using Textile rev 1942. If it works on that site, but not on your own site running r1942, then you’ve found some kind of server-specific problem — in which case we’ll need more information about your server.

The effects you see are not random, they are triggered by specia properties of the cases. It’s not possible to be more specific without seeing the detailed cases. It’s possible that you’ve found bugs, or it’s possible that you’re expecting the wrong thing. We can only really help, if you show the exact problems.

Re: Terrible Inconsistencies with Textile
Zem, I have just tested it and it works perfect using your site’s generator. I need to update my TXP!
