too delete happy - now "no database found"
Hi everyone, I hope you can help me out :(
I had somewhat successfully installed Textpattern yesterday into a subdomain/subfolder on my website. The problem was that I only had a temporary URL at the time…something like http://50.100.20.150/~username/subfolder/
Whenever I clicked on any of the links or the preview site button, the link that would be generated would be http://50.100.20.150/~username/~username/subfolder/ …. which meant of course that the links were broken. I thought it might have something to do with Textpattern not liking the temporary URL.
Today, I finally got my Addon Domain to resolve to a subfolder. Unfortunately I couldn’t make it point to the subfolder I’d already set up for Textpattern (the folder had to be named mysite/addondomain/ or else the domain would not resolve correctly. So I thought, what the hey, start anew and I deleted the subdirectory where all the Textpattern files were sitting. I also deleted the MySQL databases thru cPanel (which I probably should NOT have done).
I reinstalled Textpattern on mysite/addondomain/ and I created new databases. But now everytime I try to run the Setup and Config by navigating to textpattern/index.php on a web browser, I get “Database unavailable”. I even tried using my old temporary URL – still no joy.
Help?

Try removing the old config.php file before running setup.
