Google Browser Sync
Hi.
Today, I have found this nice Firefox extension:
From the extension site:
Google Browser Sync for Firefox is an extension that continuously synchronizes your browser settings – including bookmarks, history, persistent cookies, and saved passwords – across your computers. It also allows you to restore open tabs and windows across different machines and browser sessions.

Re: Google Browser Sync
Ooo. This would’ve been nice to have before my other machine went to crap.
Why shouldn’t I install Google Browser Sync on computers that other people can access?
Browser Sync keeps all your browsers in sync with each other, so it needs to send potentially sensitive information like your stored passwords, bookmarks, and browser history to the other computers where you’ve installed it.
Does anyone else wonder if this won’t lead somewhere bad…?

Re: Google Browser Sync
Mary, you have initializated my “paranoia mode”.
Now, I have reconfigured it to not sync saved passwords nor cookies.
Just bookmarks, tabs and history…

When it was released, the Slashdot crowd had their say.
Personally, I’d rather use a USB key if I needed to sync between machines at different locations.
