The Favicon Show

I was looking for a CMS to run my site. I found TXP and, with this awesome software and the help of this forum it was up and running in a couple hours (honestly). So I decided to show a little gratitude and invite a few members to participate on it :)

The Favicon Show is a Million Dollar Homepage sort of thing, and I’d be flattered if 20 fellow txp’ers wanted to take part on it, free of any charge.

All you have to do is manifest your wish and post, on this thread, your website’s URL, title and, naturally, the link for your favicon.

However, I ask you two things:

  • choose a spot that’s at least two rows or columns distant from the edges;
  • please mention TFS back on your site, tell your friends about it or spread the word in any way you’d like.

Also, feel free to look around and tell me what you think or ask questions. Any feedback will be appreciated.

I’m going to sleep now (know those “little things” you leave for last, to be taken care of when the site is ‘finished’? They kill you), and will be back in a few hours to take note of your contributions.

If anyone happens to come in too late for one of the 20 free spots, the site is already open for business. You’re free to choose any spot you want :)

By the way, thanks for all the silent support. The site wouldn’t be up if it weren’t for the members of this forum :)

Re: The Favicon Show

Well, I´m far from the biggest contributor to this forum. But I like your idea and wouldn´t mind my site being there. So, here is my apply:

Title: Mattias Skoog
Url: http://www.mattiasskoog.se
Favicon: http://www.mattiasskoog.se/favicon.ico

I like spot #200

Re: The Favicon Show

Thanks a lot for your contributions. I took note of them but the oddest thing is happening. I create folders and upload images to them, but they simply don’t show up, and when I write the direct path to them on the address bar, I get a 404 error.

I contacted my host and I assure you your icons will be live as soon as possible.

By the way, which title format would you prefer:

99 – Sibren zegt…
200 – Mattias Skoog

or simply the title?

Re: The Favicon Show

I really don´t mind…
Don´t you want the same format on every input?
It´s up to you.

Re: The Favicon Show

I would really like one of the spots. As skoggy, I am not one of the most active on this forum… maybe because I just registerred. :)

Sure, but then it ocurred to me that people might like to have the number of their spot associated with them. I was checking your preferences to see what format to use. I decided to go with just the title.

Hey henkomannen, I’m glad to see you’re willing to participate. However, for a free spot you should choose one that’s at least two rows or columns distant from the edges. Update your request and your favicon will go online soon.

skoggy and ragger, your icons should be online now. Thanks, guys.

No, thank you! I really appreciate it.

To return the favor, couldn’t you create a like button that people can easily implement on their sites? You know, one of these buttons that people love to place on their blogs.

Ah, I see. Must have missed out on that part. Alright, then I would be pleased with position #141. Thanks!
