missing article tag : bug hunt

I doubt this is anything related to TXP, but my error, can anyone help me find my errors here?

The error I get is: Notice: missing_article_tag: sermons in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/liberti.org/textpattern/publish.php on line 460

I suspect its a page error as I don’t have article tags anywhere else?

I only see the error when I am on a category page?

HEre it is:
page:

<code><txp:if_category>
<txp:rss_unlimited_categories_article_list section=“sermons” form=“sermon-list” />
<txp:else />
<txp:if_individual_article>
<txp:article_custom section=“sermons” status=“live” form=“sermons” limit=“1” />
<txp:else />
<txp:rss_unlimited_categories_article_list section=“blog,!sermons” form=“blog-list” />
<txp:article_custom section=“sermons” limit=“1” status=“sticky” />
<txp:article_custom section=“sermons” limit=“10” pageby=“10” form=“sermon-list” status=“live” />
</txp:if_individual_article>
</txp:if_category></code>

Re: missing article tag : bug hunt

You’re missing an article tag, just as the notice warns. You can ignore this warning if you’re handling categories in some special way. It is there for those that remove it, then wonder why nothing shows up on category pages.

Re: missing article tag : bug hunt

You are using the development branch, not the release, correct? IIRC Alex added that Notice for troubleshooting purposes. missing_article_tag means article-tag is missing on that page.

It should only appear in debug (or maybe testing) mode and in cases where an article tag is needed to function correctly (search-results being an obvious one). I am not sure if it’s intended to appear in your case or not. Alex can probably shine more light on it, or I’ll take a look later.

For you there is nothing to worry about though, since a Notice is just that, a Notice, it is not a Warning and not an Error. It means “here, take a look. did you know? Could be interesting to you…”

edit: Well, looks like I am waaay to slow. What mary said. ;)

Re: missing article tag : bug hunt

okay, both of you, thank you.

I actually do have an “article” tag there, but its not a true one, its a form called by rss_unlimited_categories_list. Therefore I am indeed getting output, but as you said, its not from a true article tag.

Thanks for the help there. I won’t worry about it.

And yes, I’m using the latest release, and yes I’m set up in testing mode at the moment.

:)
