A Redesign and Rebuild - my personal site
Hi All –
I’ve just launched a redesign and rebuild of my own Journal and Portfolio site. I’m finally using TXP 4.0.3! The previous incarnation of the site was running on a heavily hacked version of RC1, so a simple upgrade was out of the question. It had to be rebuilt properly from the ground up. Check it out:
Comments and / or criticism is always welcome.
Cheers –
Michael

LOVE the banner, and I love the opaque rollover effect, very nice!! The only thing I dont like, is the peach, I know you were going for a contrasting colour, but if you went for blue or green I think it would be much better..
Again though, well done on everything else, it looks great!

Great new layout. I like the peach, blue, green combo. The roll over on the menu looks smooth.

Don´t kill me but i agree with Hillary here. :)
Other than that the site jumps pretty much when hovering over the top title in Opera 9.

There’ll be no killing around here. :)
First off, thank you all for the feedback.
Secondly, I realize the peach isn’t for everybody, but I wanted to steer away from a monochromatic color scheme. I had originally conceived of the color scheme as a something that would change with the seasons. With Autumn approaching (here in the US, anyway), I may play with some yellows / reds and golds.

I tried it out in Opera 9.02 on the Mac and don’t see any problem. What exactly is it that you’re seeing?

I send you an email with screenshot attached. (the site jumps pretty much in my Opera 9.0.1)
