Images in CSS
I’m having some trouble getting the images in my cascading style sheets to display on my textpattern pages. I’m thinking that part of the problem is I’m not sure exactly what the path to them is. I’ve been trying url(images/imagename.jpg), but this hasn’t been working. Can anyone help?

Re: Images in CSS
Try absolute URLs: url(/images/imagename.jpg)

Re: Images in CSS
We’re making a blog for the organization I work for, so I’m not sure that we’re ready to send out the URL, since we’re still trying to figure it all out. Speaking of which, can you recommend any resources (besides this forum, textbook, and textpattern.org, all of which I’ve been combing over for days now) for beginning textpattern users. I’m really struggling without a user manual in my hands.

Re: Images in CSS
Have you read this? Especially look at the links at the bottom of the page.
In admin > advanced preferences you can find the image directory. If you did not change anything when installing, it will be images. In that case, url(/images/imagename.jpg) should work. If you installed in a subdirectory, you may have to use url(/subdir/images/imagename.jpg).

Re: Images in CSS
This might not be it, but it caused me a headache the first time I designed a site in TxP.
TxP changes the imagename into a number, so the correct path could be <code>url(/images/imagenumber.jpg)</code>.
…Prrrrrrrr…
