HTMLArea and Textpattern

I’ve recently made some modifications to Textpattern’s admin interface to support htmlarea:

Here’s what it htmlarea does:

Here’s what it looks like in txp:

This is a good thing because it allows any monkey to change the fonts and such without having to edit CSS or apply forms, and a bad thing because it breaks textism’s philosophy of separation of content and design. But it works! If you’re interested, LMK and

But it got me thinking— It sure would be nice to have some hooks to write plugins into the administrative side of things so that I don’t step on the core when doing things like this. Are there any plans for this?

So, a plugin for TXP is in development? Would be nice for those clients.

cjoh (or anyone),

Has there been any progress on a plugin for this? Personally, I would try not to employ a text editor like this in a client site anymore than necessary, but in some cases, where site owners really need it, it would be nice to know it’s there.
