satellite360.com

satellite360 is my first effort with Textpattern. It is a collection of thoughts and quotations – a blog I guess. I am going for a clean and simple look n feel – one that is pleasant to look at and easy to read. There is a lot more content to go up yet but the structure is there now. Enjoying tinkering with Textpattern – it is a great CMS, my only prior experience was with Drupal.

Appreciate any feedback.

Re: satellite360.com

Ooo. Pretty.

The bold orange really offsets those gray/black blocks nicely, though I’m not sure about the darker orange as a highlight color on most recent post meta links. Black font blends into the bg quite a bit on my lousy monitor at 1024. :)

Great layout – has a magazine feel to it. Nice.

BTB: Need a font-size value on headings 1-3 and a colon on .entrymeta a:hover

Re: satellite360.com

Thanks for the feedback and kind words Infi. Changed the CSS so it now validates and made the headline hover link black – it already was in Firefox, just screwed up in IE.

Nice!

One little, tiny thing: the top 10 pixels (or so) of your header are 1 px off in IE 6 (to the left).

Re: satellite360.com

yup, pretty nice. the logo could use some work though – reminds me too much of the “official” RSS-feed icon.
a technical issue: the sidebar falls down in safari.

Thanks for pointing that out TNT – Can’t explain the IE6 weirdness. It (absolutely positioned DIV with a repeating background image) only moves over one pixel when the browser window gets beyond a certain width. Also the height of that coloured DIV is supposed to be 5px but it looks more like 20px in IE!

Thanks for the feedback and for pointing that out the Safari issue – No access to a Mac but I’ll try to look into that. Cheers.
