moving info between two sites

I have two sites to administer, one has a small textpattern section and the other is a static (HTML) site. I would like to transfer info from the textpattern section of one site (across subdomain) to pages on the static site. I understand I may need to write custom PHP pages on site 2, but I don’t know where to start. Any help please.

Re: moving info between two sites

You could use feeddigest.com to get the txp articles and feed them with feeddigest into your static site.

Re: moving info between two sites

Thanks for your advice. The problem with this approach is that the carefully structured data gets thoroughly mangled during the feed and parsing. Perhaps I was hoping for too much from Textpattern. It seems a very convoluted method to retrieve some data from a database.

Re: moving info between two sites

Ed,

There are any number of ways to do this in PHP. Deciding which to use depends on many factors. If you don’t know what they are, you’ll find a number of professional developers on the forum who can help, including Team Textpattern.
