Guide to styling Comments?
Is there such a guide to styling them with CSS? WilshireONes comments guide used to work, but TXP now has better spam filtering so it no longer does, I just want the comments to look good, have alternating colours for the comments, and possible gravatars, as well as a tableless or cleaner comment form.
Thanks in advance

Re: Guide to styling Comments?
I don’t use tables for comments, just played with a static mockup on the local machine till I had a layout that worked for me and ported it over to my TxP site, and discovered the <a http://www.thresholdstate.com”>zem_nth</a> plugin for nice clean alternating colours. I believe there is a gravatar plugin as well but not sure of it’s name. A forum search or browse through the plugins forum should turn it up.

Re: Guide to styling Comments?
Hrm, well… Veerle posted a nice tutorial about her Expression Engine-powered comments. The tags are quite a bit different, but if you read between the lines – unobtrusive use of images, excellent structure – there is a lot to be gleaned about style! Might serve as good inspiration for a start.
Note the use of divs (no tables), heading, minimal accent (emphasis, etc.) and how she’s so strategically placed her images. h3 contains all the sundries – permalink, name, date – so the markup is nice and clean. (a name for anchor, but – hey – it’s EE, not TXP, so you could probably get away with even less markup.)
Alternating is easy. Master Hicks also posted a little tutorial of sorts. It’s an oldie, but a goodie. Pay particular attention to Step 2: Turn numbering off.
Then, with the mechanics in mind, let your imagination run wild. :)
(I’m sure someone will come along with links to TXP-specific styling hints. Alas, I have none for ye, but found studying these very enlightening.)
