Re: wlk_mp

To protect ourselves from the danger of further mafia shootings, may I recommend the following support article ?

regards, marios

Re: wlk_mp

Nice examle on your site, Walker. One question off the top of my head…is that the only output arrangment at the moment? Can a person rearrange the display of the image a bit? It might be nice if you could choose from…say…4 or 5 pre-configured image arrangements as desired, or make it easier for someone to do so on the fly. That way a person could mix it up a bit from article to article.

Makes me think of the Hulk movie, and how Ang Lee used random-displayed grids to output the same scene in different frames at once; some larger, some smaller, and kind of staggered around (though always in a grid)…the helicopter scene is on that comes to mind. I always thought how cool it was he did that; retaining the real comic book grid concept. If we could throw in a few more preconfigured arrangements (and picture numbers), that would be sweeeeeet! I have a project coming up for a comic author, this could be a fun thing to try out for that.

This plugin has a LOT of potential.

Re: wlk_mp

Actually, the arrangement varies based on the number of images you select (up to 8).

First two features up next for implementation:

  1. Category-based image selection
  2. Image pop-ups.

Things that comes later:

  • Images by full urls?
  • Better control of css and xhtml on image output.

Re: wlk_mp

Hi Walker,
Your plugin has inspired me to try Textpattern (I’ve been working with Wordpress).
I understand how to install the plug-in, insert the tags etc..
I’ve been digging around, but I can’t figure out what I need to do with the PHP file to ‘upload via the files tab’. I’m sure it’s obvious – but I’m lost.
I’d be grateful for a push in the right direction.
Thanks
Amy

I Haven’t used the plugin – but just to help out here – the ‘Files’ tab is under ‘Content’. You should make sure your /files has appropriate permissions – if in doubt – click on the ‘Diagnostics’ tab under ‘Admin’

Re: wlk_mp

Thanks for you help Vitruvius,
I was able to find the ‘files’ tab – set permissions etc.
I’m just clueless as to what to do with the PHP file that comes with the plug-in.

This would be perfect for a site I’m working on – I’ll be so happy when I can make this work.
In the meantime – I’m enjoying playing with Textpattern.

Re: wlk_mp

Hi Amy, I haven’t actually installed this plugin yet as I didn’t yet have need, but I will soon and if I learn a thing or two I’ll report.

Re: wlk_mp

Thanks Destry!
I can’t believe I didn’t try to upload the php file straight through the files panel. duh
Goes to show – you can’t really over explain.

The site I want to use this for is down at the moment – but I’ll report as soon as I can try this. – If I can make it work – it will be perfect for the project.
