video and audio files?
Hi,
I want to know if i can use textpattern for music and video. I understand there is a file tab in the system. Can this be used to upload music and vid files aswell.
How are they accessed by the user? Are they downloaded and then viewed/listened to or is there any way that i could upload this sort of media and then have it streamed form my site?

You can use for instance
bas_flvplayer – Streaming Video
and
bas_emff: Streaming mp3
I’m sure there are other ways as well.

If you want to do some streamed media, you might have to check with your host. It looks like DreamHost, for example, allow you to stream QuickTime media from your site but you need to set it up from the Dreamhost admin panel first.
