Re: decent gallery plugin? (resolved)

Currently – there are no classic gallery like plugins abound, but there are options where one can create a similiar look.

If you’re not in a hurry, I’ve been working on a complete gallery system (as time, school and wife permit) that should be a drop-in plugin and hope to release the first alpha version in the next month or two. The basic sandbox version of it can be found at http://www.syserror.net/gallery/

Re: decent gallery plugin? (resolved)

You might try using upm_image with the “forms” attribute.

Re: decent gallery plugin? (resolved)

You could setup a gallery using sections and categories, but the one drawback is navigation isn’t category sensitive.

its not like a thumbnail type of gallery is it? because i installed it and it seems you have to add each image you want to view but doesnt allow a thumbnail to click to goto its regular size

Re: decent gallery plugin? (resolved)

Sure, you can show thumbnail, show popup, show full or use the form attribute and customize it exactly how you want. It’s not a “true” gallery plugin, but you can do quite a bit with it. i.e: use articles as “galleries” by assigning multiple article images.

Re: decent gallery plugin? (resolved)

No. There are a few other plugins that can do that, though. There’s rss_thumbpop, for one.
