Custom Tags...I think?
Hello, I am extremely new to this software and, though I feel very foolish asking what must be a very stupid question, I have been searching for quite a while around this site and have been unable to find a solution.
I have been asked to help update a friend’s site that is powered by Textpattern (the person who originally created the site is no longer available to help), and so I have been trying to acquaint myself with how it all works. Generally I’ve been able to do everything I need within the articles (altering names, text, etc.), but my friend wants me to help change the formatting, and when I go to the formatting for a certain page, I see something like:
<code>
<txp:baa_profile />
</code>
BAA is the name of the company that I am working for, so I realize that this must be some sort of custom tag holding the snippet of code that I need to modify. The only problem is, I have no idea where this code is contained. I have used a number of methods to search through the site (both within the Textpattern interface and through the FTP site) and have been unable to find this. Does anybody know where this code is stored?

It looks like it could be a plugin. Check under admin > plugins if there is one called baa_profile. If there is, the only way to modify the output is to edit the plugin code. Or you can start with looking at the plugin ‘help’ to see if it’s possible to change the output in another way, with attributes for example. That is, if there is a help…
