Check out the <code><txp:if_article_category></code> tag at <a href=“http://textpattern.net/wiki/index.php?title=Txp:if_article_category”>http://textpattern.net/wiki/index.php?title=Txp:if_article_category</a>

Re: List of articles matching current cat2?
Thanks NyteOwl.
Maybe you can help me a bit more here as I am going round in circles trying to figure how I should do this.
Have a look here
What I am trying to do is fake a sort of third level of navigation. …So in the section Madagascar, what I want is when you choose “why are we here” in the sidebar you get a list of other articles appearing (in the main content area) from the “why are we here” category, but so that they don’t appear when you are in “introduction” or “who are we helping”. So I thought if I assigned the articles I want grouped to have the same Cat2 I could use something that says ‘just show a list of article titles that match the current article’s cat2’… so maybe I can use txp:if_article_category for that…but how?!!..I can’t seem to figure it…..
…and also, regarding the ‘third level’ article, if I give it status “sticky” it appears in my sidebar nav which I dont’ want, and if it is “live” then it appears cronologically anyway in content, which I don’t want either…how do I sort that out?
Sorry for the rambling post….as I said I am going round in circles, not sure I am actually realising the logical way to use TXP to do this kind of thing….
Thanks if you can help.
