Comment form - pointing to individual article vs. article list

I’m trying to allow the user to write a comment from an article list (i.e. site.com/section), but have the comment form (triggered by the “preview” button) point the visitor to the individual article (i.e. site.com/yyyy/mm/dd/article+title), rather than back to the article list (site.com/section) for comment preview.

The comment form itself is a slightly altered version of that which is the default in Textpattern, with the addition of the show/hide buttons.

The scenario in question is at ikebowen.com – any ideas? The comment preview is completely broken at the moment, but I’m focusing on the aforementioned problem rather than why the previews aren’t showing up.

Ideas?

Re: Comment form - pointing to individual article vs. article list

Sounds like you’ll need to do a little bit of hacking to get that through.

I’ve not tried this, it’s just a guess by inspection, but check out the comments_form function in taghandlers.php. Should be around line 800 for a straight 4.0.3 install.

The code that handles the comment made/blocked message is there. Should be possible to add a redirect to that section.

Just a guess :)
