Re: Admin Facelift. Take 3

Nicely streamlined look!

I’m not sure about the heavy brown tone though – it looks so Zune. ;-)

Re: Admin Facelift. Take 3

Something about the brown makes theader feel like it takes soooo much more space. I don’t think it actually does but it feels like it does. Could be just me.

TXP the official UPS CMS

TXP we deliver for you.

Har har guys.. I’ll have you know those are the official TXP colors!

Besides I got bored of the all-white with sliver of cheddar cheese on top

Re: Admin Facelift. Take 3

Ace, will this still be fully customisable (in terms of colours)?

Excellent work by the way :)

Re: Admin Facelift. Take 3

What is the “Show | Delete” next to the Title field for? I can’t figure it out.

Re: Admin Facelift. Take 3

Addressing the concerns over color schemes and branding the admin, at this point the ball is really in the core team’s court. We’ve certainly expressed enough ideas of how it should be done. Hopefully they will integrate the best (read: my) ideas ;-)

@ The hakster,
Thats just “Show This Article” | “Delete This Article” <- Something I have often wished for..maybe another thread for request..

As for the rest of you whiners, I tweaked the colors a bit so the TXP yellow is more dominant. I also switched the header up a bit..looks a little cleaner I think.

Overall, it seems we are down to nitpicking details, which is a good sign. Getting very close to another CSS session here.

Re: Admin Facelift. Take 3

I think that looks pretty good – yellow and grey isn’t my favour combination, but it certainly looks better than yellow and brown :)

Re: Admin Facelift. Take 3

ah! change the gray to black and it’d be Sprint-alicious. ;)

Seriously though. Good work. looks like a pretty functional and pleasing interface.

Oh, and put a save-as button in there.

Re: Admin Facelift. Take 3

Thanks guys!

I’m not big on yellow myself, just trying to keep true to TXP branding. If I had it my way it would all be turquoisey…cest la vie

Re: Admin Facelift. Take 3

You’re doing a lovely work with the facelift!
The question is (once again) … ¿When this would be ready to use with Textpattern?

Cheers!

Re: Admin Facelift. Take 3

This is indeed a lovely facelift, not only visible but usability is improved too.

Its just a preference I have for not using hyphens in class/id names..this way i can select them with just a double click, copy/paste them around, etc

I feel the same way. Hyphens area real problem, for example, when e-mailing URIs around as the e-mail client inevitibly breaks the URI up onto multiple lines.

I have been using underscores for fifteen years, and I see no reason to change.

I was thinking of hacking into Textpattern to make this change (for clean URIs), then considered maybe making a plug-in for it (so it’s not broken after updates), though I have never made a plug-in before. Have you made this change? Is a plug-in already available? Any hints you can give me?
