Core dev team to small?
Is the core dev team to small and would a bigger team bring things along?

Well, my 2 cents: I think things are fine and I don’t think adding developers will necessarily “improve” anything.

I don’t think the core team is small, there’s some projects where it’s only one developer in it.
As afor moving things along, what would you like to see?

Re: Core dev team to small?
IMHO the problem isn’t the size of core dev team but its existence. With all my respect to code maintainers, I don’t think that a few changed lines in seven months is “development”.

Re: Core dev team to small?
The size of the core dev team is not decided by public debate. The speed of development will always depend on the available *free*-time, so at times it will be slower and at other times faster, and sometimes a lot of things that are happening will not always be visible.
Adding people does not speed things up. Christopher above was nice enough to make the obligatory Brooks Reference [go read it, if you’re unfamiliar with it]. There’s plenty of open-source projects where you can see the same in action.
Currently I don’t see a point in having this discussion. If I am mistaken, please feel free to contact me and convince me to re-open this discussion (I will, if there is indeed a point in having this discussion).

Your contributions seem to have gone missing. Perhaps you could resend them.
Thanks,
