Word 2007 blogging feature (using MetaWeblog API)

Hi,

MS Word 2007 will have blogging feature. For now, it will support publishing through MetaWeblog API or Atom API.

How well Textpattern supports this two protocols? I see that TXP have some XML-RPC features, but I don’t know how it is conformant to specification.

Re: Word 2007 blogging feature (using MetaWeblog API)

<h2>There are two different versions for the XML-RPC meta API at this moment</h2>

<ol><li><a href=” http://www.pixelmeadow.com/blog/2005/1/23/xml-rpc-for-textpattern-v10/”>original Hack API</a></li><li><a href=” http://forum.textpattern.com/viewtopic.php?id=10433”>Maintained by Kurt Raschke</a></li></ol>

Both are are little different from their implementation, the first one should be compatible with earlier TXP versions (RC3 AFAIK)
The latter is not fully functional but should work, if you set up your sections as different blogs.

I’ve only tested the latter with v4.03 and only with ECTO and it works, however, I can only publish not get my posts back for editing.
Also, due to the nature of the protocol each section is a different blog.

(If you want to try the other one,the site is temporarily down due to the reboot circus, check back later)

regards, marios
