<pre>
% svn diff

Yes. It’s not perfect, but the old part is complete, the file is updated to revision 118 and it’s a good starting point.
Most of the work was done by Macubu and Neko, I’ve just added some new strings and corrected some (small) things. But they haven’t yet made comments about it.
P.S. Bug: there are two path_to_site_missing strings!

Re: Italian localization
Hello!
I didn’t install the 1.0 RC 3 for the moment, but I’ve just briefly looked at the translation and it seems good to me. Bravo menozero!
So Dean, yes I hope you’ll include it in the final release.
(and then somebody will have to teach me this patch menozero was talking about.
Grazie e ciao!

Re: Italian localization
It’s already there!
There are still some untranslated messages, some errors (eg. Commenti: Acceso (On), Spento (Off)…) and some things a bit unclear.
But it’s better than nothing, thank to you.
I’ll check it with Neko translation, to see if there’s something more…

Re: Italian localization
Ciao a tutti,
I updated the Italian localization to include all the new strings from RC3, you can check it out here:
<a href=“http://traweb.com/extra/txp/it-it.txt”>http://traweb.com/extra/txp/it-it.txt</a>
It’s still in UTF8 so accents are preserved. There wasn’t much to change, it was a very good translation to start with. I completed the untranslated bits, added new ones from the EN files that weren’t in the IT one, fixed a couple of misspellings and edited a few things for improvement (hopefully! let me know if you disagree with anything and have other suggestions):
- changed the translation of “on/off” for comments, as menozero mentioned, so now it reads Commenti: “Abilitati” / “Disabilitati”
- changed the translation of “upload” from “carica” to “invia” (left “upload” in English when used as a noun as in “Cartella per upload”)
- changed translation of “bulleted list” from “elenco puntato” to “lista non ordinata” (I suppose “non numerata” would also be ok – they’re both used in Italian pages on HTML), and “numeric list” from “elenco numerato” to “lista numerata”
- changed translation of “ban IP” to “blocca/bloccare IP”
- changed translation of “thumbnail” to “miniatura” instead of “provino”
- changed translation of “Live” to “pubblicato” (“visibile” was ok but I saw the Spanish and French version had “publicado” and “publié” and I liked that better; also there was already a separate string for “visible”)
- changed translation of “posted” to “data” instead of “pubblicato” so it’s clearer (this was done in German too with “Datum”) and not confused with the “live/published” strings
- changed the translation of “published at” to “pubblicato in data” instead of “pubblicato a” (like many strings, the meaning was only clearer when you actually see them in the TXP interface)
- changed “copy editor” to “redattore” only (instead of “copia redattore”), “magaging editor” to “redattore capo” (it’s as in the French, Spanish and German loc. – “direttore” is the “editor in chief”), and similar fixes for other “job” names
- “Excerpt” was translated once with “sommario” and another with “riassunto”, corrected to use “sommario” throughout
- translated “wraptag”, as “tag contenitore” (similar to the Spanish localisation which has “Etiqueta Contenedora”, and the French one, “Tag entourant”)
- added and translated a couple of strings that weren’t in the IT file and would not show up in the interface (the “files” tab would show the raw string, tab_file; same for the maximum bytes per upload preference and another string in the admin prefs)
- deleted the “section_warning” bits as they’re no longer used
Things I’m not too sure of:
- “clean/messy url”: this was translated as “url puliti/sporchi”; for now I changed to “lineari/non-lineari”, but I’m not really sure it’s better or clearer… what do you think? maybe it’s best to leave it in English? or leave “puliti/sporchi”?
- what does the string “tooltip => Link tooltip” refer to? where is it used?
That’s all, let me know what you think. It still needs revision and testing in the interface to check if everything is in place.

Ottimo.
Sunday I did work on “my” translation too. You can find it here
I think it’s less complete than yours.

I put Sì/No, in case someone wants to use on/off for some other widgets.

In RC3 I see one messy and a lot of “cleans” (year/month/…, it/title, section/…).
Other things:
- I changed e-mail in email. Seguirà dibattito.
- “Logged in” in “Collegato come”. Also stay_logged_in.
Feel free to diff, grab, and merge anything you like…

Should be the <a href=”#46145” title=“title attribute for anchors”>title attribute for anchors</a>, but I’m not 100% sure.

Re: Italian localization
Bravo pepi! A me sembra ottima e giustamente ho visto che hai corretto un po’ di errori che avevo fatto io. Il più eclatante dei quali è “Copy editor”.
Eclatante visto che nella vita faccio il copy…

Complimenti a tutti i coinvolti!

Ma va là :) mica sono infallibile, anzi! E poi tante cose sono questione di preferenze, tipo “invito a commentare” o “invito per commenti”, io ho messo il secondo perché è più breve, ma capirai la differenza.

Ottima idea, è anche più corto!
Per il clean/messy, alla fine ho deciso ripristinare “puliti/sporchi”, anche perché l’ho visto in uso su qualche sito sull’HTML, e poi io mio “lineari/non-lineari” non mi convinceva proprio a rileggerlo.
> Other things:

Ah per me va benissimo, niente dibattito :)
Avevo lasciato e-mail perché era già nella traduzione, ma anch’io uso sempre email anche in italiano senza trattino. Penso siano corrette entrambe, anche in inglese a volte si usa il trattino a volte no…
> * “Logged in” in “Collegato come”. Also stay_logged_in.
