Templates and themes usage & etiquette
Hi,
I’m relatively new to textpattern and am enjoying using it to put websites together – mostly for fun but a few quid from a customer or two would also be nice.
I’d just like to check what the situation is regarding the use of templates and themes from textpattern resources and textgarden:
Firstly – is their use free of charge? That seems to be the case but I’d like to make sure.
Second – I’m happy to credit the original designer and retain a link to their website where possible. Is this acceptable etiquette? Occasionally, a customer may not want these links so I’ll have to abide by their wishes.
thanks,
Eoin

Re: Templates and themes usage & etiquette
All styles at TextGarden are free to use in whatever way you wish. It’s great if you can keep credits in place but if the customer doesn’t want them to be viewable on the page you might consider putting them at the top of the CSS instead.

Thanks for the info. The CSS credit is a good idea.
