Self-Reposting Articles?

Is it possible to make an article in Textpattern repost itself at defined intervals?
The way my Textpattern install works is it shows upcoming events sorted by publish date. If I have an event that occurs every week, I’d like it to automatically be reposted at the appropriate time.
I’m assuming this isn’t possible without third-party plugins… so does anyone know of anything I could use, or would be willing to whip something up?
