andreas08 kills IE5/Mac
Is it just me or does the TXP layout andreas08 kill your Internet Explorer for Mac?
(Yes, I know I know, but I need to do a site which will work with that browser!)
Thanks!

Re: andreas08 kills IE5/Mac
No , it will crash Explorer on the spot, before you can even see anything, very strange, indeed.
It would be too timeconsuming to track this down, I thinks the best thing is to contact the creator.

Re: andreas08 kills IE5/Mac
It works fine on IE on Windows. I wonder if it might be the advertising javascript?

Re: andreas08 kills IE5/Mac
Yes, just IE for MAC, 5.2, the one that got shipped with Tiger,
Version: 5.2.3 (5.2.3)
Build Version: 124
Project Name: MicrosoftIE5
Source Version: 58150100
I’ts not the javascript add either, allso changing the DOC type does the same,
the crash report returns this:
<code>Thread 3 Crashed:
0 MacIE Carbon (Release) 0×004d8a20 0×405000 + 866848

Now , what else, it must be within the CSS, some combination of rules that confuses it, because the html itself works (unstyled)
That makes me really curious, allthough it won’t be of any interest to allmost anyone.

Re: andreas08 kills IE5/Mac
Bingo, I’ve successfully tracked this down, what it is?
It’s a rule on line 228 of the stylesheet:
<code>input, textarea {border: 1px solid #467aa7; margin: 3px;}</code>
So , this needs to be tracked down further, or hidden from Explorer, with one of Tantek’s methods, e.g.:
<code> /* Hiding from IE5-MAC \*/
input, textarea {border: 1px solid #467aa7; margin: 3px;}
/* End hack */</code>
