Classifeds style site
I have a non-TXP powered site (jobs and other content) for a niche market. The backend runs off some scripts I put together, plus a couple of ready made scripts.
Jobs are posted and in order to see the contact details, users subscribe to the service. To manage this, I use aMember, a very nice membership management app.
I am thinking of adding some nice features to the membership side. To do this, I will need to integrate the backend of the site.
Looking for some ideas on how to do this, either in TXP or hiring a developer to do some work for me. Any comments will be helpful. Thanks.

Yes but I would rather not publicise it. I will email it to you.

Re: Classifeds style site
Alex kindly pointed me in the direction of Typo3, which I don’t know as yet. I will look into it, unless someone has a URL ;-)
I will explain what my site does. I have jobs which are posted by users. Anyone can see the jobs, but not the contact details. This is hidden unless a member (who pays from 1 month-12 months subscription) is logged in. This is controlled by the aMember script which checks if the user is currently subscribed/logged in.
On the backend, I use my own scripts to operate the site. It works well, but I would like to move to a new system that is integrated, and which I could use to then expand into other areas – i.e a new niche market with the same system.
For the new system I would like:
-Users sign up in order to post jobs, post classifieds and articles
-User control panel which would allow new subscriptions, show old subscriptions, show current jobs that he/she posted, show current articles that he/she posted
-Allow editing/deleting of jobs, articles etc
-Allow uploading of images for the user to advertise their services
That’s the short version. I really like Ajax and how if used sensibly, it adds to the user experience without reloading the page. I would like to incorporate this into the user control panel/membership page.
The system would also need to help me control the membership subscriptions. Currently, aMember does this and its very good. Payments go through PayPal and its all automatic. This is really important.
Hope this post might generate some ideas!

Funny, I thought I might get an answer to the last post…will be looking for a developer soon for the above mentioned site. Someone in India would be good (Bangalore) as I spend time there, but I don’t really mind from where. If interested can email me or reply here.
