no css?
I just uploaded the textpattern site to a free web host, but from what I got on my index page, it is starting to seem like the host does not allow css formatting. The index page is at http://remzicej.awardspace.com/personal/index.php/
Could anyone suggest any causes of the problem/solutions to this?
Many thanks,
Remzi

Re: no css?
I dont think that your host doesnt allow CSS formatting (have never heard about something similar) because I can see your website with the TXP default css.
You can check your CSS here:
http://remzicej.awardspace.com/personal/textpattern/css.php?s=default
Have you edited your CSS in “Presentation -> Styles” tab?
Have you configure wich CSS uses your default section in “Presentation -> Sections” tab?

Re: no css?
Hey,
It worked once, for some reason. I pressed “refresh” on the browser and now all I get is a page where instead of the three columns, I get a long page with the menu and everything else just thrown on it…
Obviously, what you said about css made sense, that the site does allow for css, but some hosts don’t [at least not the cheap/free ones]…
De todos modos, if you could help me with this, I’d appreciate it! :D

Re: no css?
Your Site URL setting is incorrect. It should be remzicej.awardspace.com/personal
The default install should detect the correct URL automatically.

Re: no css?
I do that, but it gives me a 404 error?..it worked once with the link setup you suggested, but when i pressed refresh, it continued to give me a 404 error..I looked up the FAQ on 404 errors, but the solutions don’t seem to make a difference on my site…what do i do? :(

Re: no css?
Load http://remzicej.awardspace.com/personal/index.php (leave the site url setting as it is), and see the FAQ. If that doesn’t help, ask your hosting company.
