changing page template for category_list
Hi everyone
I posted my questions here a few days ago and you were all very helpful, but there are a few new issues that have poped up that googling hasn’t resolved..
The problem is that when I click on a link generated by category_list, the resulting page uses the default page template, but I would like to use my own template instead.
The other issue is that I’m also using categories as subsections, so some categories would have only one article per category. In this case I would like for the link to go directly to the article instead of returning a list of articles. Is this possible with category_list, or would it be easier to simply use txp:linklist and copy/paste the messy url in the subsection links?
edit:
one more question about category_list :]
how do you make it so that the parent category isn’t returned with the subcategories?
Thanks for all the help
Jack

Re: changing page template for category_list
hey, thanks. It looks like that solution might work for single links, but it’s a bit hackish. I guess I didn’t do enough googling, ‘cause I found a great plugin that solves my first and last problem.
I think I saw something about managing static content on the faq.. [go and looks]
thanks :]

Re: changing page template for category_list
Hi again
It seems there’s never an end to problems..
I’ve hacked together something for now. It’s not pretty but it works. However here’s just one more question :D
My client is not very tech savvy, and I was just wondering if anyone knew of a plugin that would make file uploading easier. From what I understand, the content creator needs to manually insert a txp tag along with the file id to make the file show up in the article. Unfortunately he needs to do this (attach several files at the end of the article) quite regularly, and it’s an bother to do this repeatedly.
Thanks for any tips
Jack
