Re: Image category

It could be used by plugin developers to allow images to be in more than one gallery. Take the new lightbox plugin for example, it has an attribute cat=”“, where cat is an image category, by having an images in 2 categories it could be in 2 galleries.

Re: Image category

Wouldn’t it be better to have unlimited categories then?

Re: Image category

Probably, but I was just following how articles are catergorised. Unlimited categories dosen’t seem to be a core Txp idea unfortunately.

Re: Image category

I too vote for multiple category fo the images. I’d find it useful to put them in multiple galleries, as lee mentioned. At the moment I need to duplicate them if I wanto to accomplish this.

I’d also like keywords for images, you could tag them. Just to give that possibility should not be that difficult, and should be consistant with article handling.

Also, caption should be textiled and alt field should be escaped for some special characthers (i.e. ‘ and “ ) not to break html validation.

Just some hints, here. What do you think?

Bye

One category for images that are to be included with an article.
Another category for images/photos that are for a gallery type display.
