a tonti-question: why the forms "Links" and "Noted" are capitalized?
Hi.
I know this is one of the most trivial question in this forum, but I feel the need of asking it:
the forms “Links” and “Noted” have the first character capitalized.
why? backward compatibility?
Can this be “problematic” in any way? I have found that form “Links” can be perfectly called by form="links"
I’m deleting some of the default forms to clean-up my form list… that “Links” form… with that capital character… it’s looking for troubles with me…
I think I will rename it directly from the database… could that be a problem?
Edit: I have renamed it to “links” and it becomes “deleteable”… I mean, now I can delete that form. Of course, I dont want to. And, for now, it seems there is no problem. I hope when I upgrade, it wont happen anything.

It was made “undeletable” (like “default”, etc) because it’s the default form used by a tag. Deleting or renaming it shouldn’t make your site blow up or anything.

Thanks, mary.
I know that! ;) (i mean, that is the default form used by a tag… but I was affraid about the blow up!)
But my question points to the reason about using a capital L (in “Links”)…
was it a typo error? something related to backward compatibility? (dont think so, because I have tested it work calling it with form=“links”.
Just curious about that… MF capital character!

I believe it’s been that way since at least 1.19g. I’d guess that, yes, it hasn’t been changed for BC.
