if_article_list, if_individual_article, article, forms
Individual articles/article lists are determined by the url. i.e: http://yoursite.com/section is an article list, but http://yoursite.com/section/article is an individual article. You make use of the tags above to determine what gets shown for each view.

To make something absolutely clear: your URL’s might not follow this structure exactly; this also depends on which permalink mode you choose in Site Preferences. But essentially, article views are the default when navigating to a section’s “home” and you need to use the tags Mary linked to above to control how individual articles are displayed.
