Char encoding in Polish site...

After un upgrade of Polish localization, everything is broken. Every Polish signs (like ą ę ś ć ź ń etc.) on my page are converted on ”” ”???”.
Upgrade was automatical – i even don’t now where i can get now old Localisation :/ And maybe problem is somewere else? Any ideas?

My site is “www.gwiezdnypirat.pl” – it’s 4th day on net, and it’s realy important for me to fix it. Before yesterday about midnight site was working properly.

ps. Sorry for my english if i wrote something wrong – i’m just learning your language.

What exactly did you upgrade? What changes were made to your site and the webserver a the time it changed?

Updating the language files won’t have any effect on your articles as seem to be the cased.

Were any changes to the database/db-server made? Please post your advanced diagnostics.

Re: Char encoding in Polish site...

Problem is that i don’t realy know what is going on. I didn’t upgrade nothing. When I noticed on my page problem with chaacter encoding, i also noticed that system automatical upgrade localisation:
It’s something like that:
“Polski 14.01.06 updated”
For me it don’t have to be translated on Polish, but the problem shows when I noticed this automatical upgarde, so i thing i can be the reason, but maybe not…

At last i tried to rewrite texts on my page wiht different encoding but after i saved – text again start to be “broken”

Here is my high diagnostic:

Re: Char encoding in Polish site...

Hey – I have resolved my problem. I’ve changed my config.php (line $txpcfg[‘dbcharset’] =) from latin1 to utf-8 and now it works properly. It’s simple, and it was stupid that I haven’t made it faster. Anyway thanks that you wanted to help me.
