The Human Museum - Redesigned

Deep gratitude to everyone who helped me limp along with this redesign. I stayed wiht the minimal look, but added a little more functionalty as I got more comfortable with Textpattern. Still a little tweaking to do here and there (not really happy with the archives page), as well as add in some of the old content, but comments and criticism are encouraged.

Cheers!

Very nice and cool!

I would change some bits and pieces like the top navigations font is too small. slightly increase it…
and the very last column on the right i would shift a bit to the left.

Yes, I used Wordpress for quite some time – first with “Northern Passages”, then “This Is Not A Love Story”, finally with “The Human Museum” before switching to Textpattern a few months ago.

Looks good, but the #menu links in small-caps verdana are totally unreadable in Safari – just make it 2px larger.

Re: The Human Museum - Redesigned

Great design just like the last one. I’d recommend playing with the vertical stroke between the thumbnail image and paragraph in “Exhibit A”. As it stands, its spacing seems to not be based on any structure so it feels out of place especially with the jarring space between it and the horizontal stroke above it. Think about centering it between the image and paragraph and maybe connecting or further disconnect it from the above stroke. Taking it out altogether and letting space do it’s thing is another option.

Keep up the good work!

Re: The Human Museum - Redesigned

Scrapped the new design in a matter of days, lol. I can’t get past my need for ultra minimalist.
