Sort articles by one category in article tab

I’m running a site with a lot of articles. To access older articles I can search for them, or I can sort the article tab by date, or category, but this will sort all articles.

Would it be possible to have a kind of drop down, just showing articles of a distict category?

This is already possible: use the search form.

Sure, I could use the search form and type in the category I’m searching for.

But a dropdown list would be greater :)

well, i was not looking for a solution to display articles in the blog. i thought of a feature for the article tab in textpattern
