"www" is removed when opening the site: any problem, with this?

Hi there,

This sounds to me as a rather stupid questions (do they excist?). Still here it is:

When opening my web site www.shapingthoughts.com the “www” part falls off. It this really a problem? Could it be when I want to do something with AdSense in the end?

By the way, at this moment something is wrong at TextDrive because the site is down! Hope its up soon!

Still, anyone with an answer?

Many thanks.

Best regards,

Marcel

Thanks.

Still I changed the TxP settings to include “www” and now it does not disaapear anymore. So it is actually worth nothing at all, as I read when quickly going through your links (did I get this right?)? I thought I read something about “spiders“not being able to crawl or the indexing in Google not being optimal. It is all way over my head!

Just to clarify: Textpattern doesn’t remove the www.

I don’t know if it makes a lot of difference. All I know is that I have a no-www url, and Google is indexing my site perfectly :) And I think it looks nicer, so for me that is enough.
Search Google for ‘no-www url’, you’ll find several discussions about this subject.
