You could use <code><txp:linklist limit=“1” sort=“date asc” /></code> or it might be “date desc”, I can never remember. I think that should output the newest link.
For different links on certain pages I think that surrounding the “linklist” tag with <code><txp:if_section name=“sectionName”></txp:if_section></code> tags and specifying the link category to be displayed in the “linklist” tag would do it assuming I’m thinking straight.
I use the mem_glinklist plug-in as well which is a little more flexible.
