Textile drives me nuts (code in articles, closing lists)

From the start on i had various problems using textile on the german TXP Blog. One of the most annoying thing is, that textile does not close lists propperly. Often i have to insert a closing </ol> into the article by hand.

The worst is, i have so much trouble with inserting code into articles. F. e. this article … see No 3 and 4. First code snippet is inserted with < code >< /code > while i had to insert < notextile > for the second code snippet. That does not make any sense to me. And I have no idea what the problem is.

Either it is my problem or it is textile not working propperly. I have nononoooo idea.

How do you insert code in an article? Does it work on your site?

Having fun?

I use Johan’s glx_code plug-in. You can keep the code as a separate txt file uploaded to your site then call it in your article using the plug-in. A download link is automatically generated so people can download the code if they wish and line numbers are also inserted. You can keep all the CSS formatting for it separate to your normal article styling. I have it working here.

I don’t have a problem with lists either but I always leave a blank line before and after the list.
