use comments as simple message board
I am designing a website for a local elementary school and have this idea about a very basic message board for kids. The easiest way to realize this, I think, will be to use the built-in comment functionality that TXP offers. Sounds easy enough but I would like the comments to automatically expire (=deleted) after, let’s say 6 months. Also, I am looking for a way to limit the number of comments (about 10) per page. Sort of like the next / previous page functionality for articles.
Is there someone who knows how to do this or has a better solution?
Stupid, I never thought of using the sdr_guestbook plugin but this is the ideal solution for me!

You’d need to make a plugin request, so I’ve moved this topic to the plugins forum. No existing tags or plugins will do what you’re after.

Come to think of it I could write a SQL to delete the comments from the txp_discuss table but it would be easier to have an extra option on the write tab regarding comment expiration.
