[How do I]: Manage sections more effectively

OK folks, here’s the deal, I unfortunately can’t figure this one out on my own, so I’ll ask a couple of questions and if you feel like it, answer so I can hear your experience.

How do I…

  1. manage many sections with only one page template? (the sections can be static for all I know, all needs to be done is to fill them with certain content)?
  2. keep the number of my pages as low as possible? What is your usual number of pages, i.e. for a blog?
  3. I suppose when you click on an article (to read it in whole, you click the permalink) you go to the archives section, am I correct? Or do you stay on the same section where the article belongs to? Can you choose somehow?

OK guys, thanx in advance,

happy new year! :)

The FAQ covers this (“To create additional static pages, you can skip steps 1 and 2, and reuse the same static_page template”).
