Inserting PHP within TXP Tags

I would like to insert PHP tags in between TXP tags. How do I do this? I’ve already set the option to allow PHP in Pages. For example, I want to do this:

< txp:article_custom form=“Single” limit=“10” sortby=“Posted” sortdir=“desc” author=”< ?echo “$full_name”;? >” listform=“Single” / >

But when i run the page, nothing happens. Help?
