change the directory?
I currently have this layout:
mysite.com/textpattern <- view the site
mysite.com/textpattern/textpattern <- login to admin
how do i change it to say mysite.com/blog to view the site? i tried renaming the directory and it came up with several errors.

Re: change the directory?
Try changing the Site URL in Site Preferences <strong>before</strong> renaming the directory. And edit any information in textpattern/config.php as necessary.
See also: <a href=“http://textpattern.net/wiki/index.php?title=Moving_Installation_from_Subdirectory_to_Domain_Root_on_the_Same_Server”>Moving Installation from Subdirectory to Domain Root</a>. Not everything will be relevant to you, but a lot will.

Re: change the directory?
Works like a charm. Here’s what I did (in case someone has the same question in the future):
1. Under admin/preferences I changed the site url (from mysite.com/textpattern to mysite.com/blog)
2. I renamed the directory /textpattern to /blog (through FTP)
3. I edited my config.php: $txpcfg[‘txpath’] needs path updated to reflect new directory (/blog)
